"The science of maintaining perfect balance and harmony"

Ayurveda is the oldest surviving comprehensive medical system in the world. Its name is formed from two roots of the oldest language on earth - Sanskrit: “Ayuh” (long life) and “Veda” (knowledge). Ayurveda offers a full deep meaningful comprehensive knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and worldview about how to be in harmony with nature. It originated more than 5,000 years ago, when it was expounded in detail and put into practice by the same holy sages, the rishis.

Ayurveda is not just a health system, but a form of lifestyle, adopted to maintain perfect balance and harmony within human existence, from the most abstract transcendental values to the most specific physiological manifestations. Ayurveda is based on the premise that life is a rational interaction between Atma (the highest Soul), manas (mind), indriya (feelings) and sharirs (body). They are the focus of five dense primary elements, who are involved in shaping the constitution of each individual, called prakriti. It, in turn, is determined by the balance of vital forces of the three physical energies - vata, pitta and kapha, and three mental energies - sattva, rajas and tamas.
